The Housing Initiative launched in September 2024 with a Housing Roundtable sponsored with the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development and their Housing Department, and continued with a keynote presentation on housing initiatives around the NEK at our region-wide summit, NEK Together, November 2024.
This multisector initiative aims to generate ideas and shared solutions for our regional housing challenges. Through community and sector convenings, investigation of successful projects in other rural regions, and bringing stakeholders like small municipalities, state and federal agencies, banks, employers, developers, affordable housing agencies, and citizen advocates together in new and different ways, the Housing Initiative spurs innovation and growth.
