If you're looking for ways to broaden your skill set, network in your industry, or just enjoy a new hobby, you've come to the right place. We've compiled a comprehensive list of courses, workshops and trainings happening this fall in our region.

Here's a little sample of what you can find on the list:

Business & Leadership Development:

Co.Starters Business Development Program for Entrepreneurs

This 9-week entrepreneurship program gives you the tools to turn your idea into a sustainable venture and repeat the process with your next great idea! 

The program is designed for any aspiring entrepreneur or small business owner. The only requirements are:

  • You have an idea you’re ready, willing, and excited to pursue

  • You are willing to study and refine that idea

Computer & Office Technology:

Introduction to Photoshop

Photographers and aspiring designers gain hands-on experience as they learn the basics and gain confidence with weekly challenges like exposure and cropping, adding or removing items (and people!), working with layers and adding text. Put it all together to create a final project in the last week.

Personal Enrichment:

American Sign Language

This course offers students the opportunity to gain individual hands-on experience in American Sign Language. Emphasis is given to a study of cultural behaviors, values and norms to demonstrate respect and understanding of the Deaf Community and Deaf Culture.

Education Training:

Adult Mental Health First Aid

Learn to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness in adults ages 18 and up. Discover the details of different illnesses and how they can lead to a crisis situation, along with what to do to get the person to professional help in our community.

Job Ready & Career Exploration

Solo Wilderness First Responder

This is the perfect course for individuals who want a high level of wilderness medical training for extended personal backcountry trips or expeditions, or anyone working in a position of leadership in an outdoor setting.

Taught over eight or nine days, this 72-hour course is recognized as the industry standard for outdoor professionals including river and mountain guides, outdoor trip leaders, ski patrollers, and anyone who expects to end up in remote settings with limited resources.

Culinary

ServSafe® Certification

Earn the nationally-recognized ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification.  Students will learn the importance of food safety and how to prevent the spread of pathogens in the flow of food from purchasing and receiving through serving and storing.
